NRA Basic Rifle Course Schedule
The NRA Basic Rifle course will introduce you to the operation and maintenance of a variety of rifles including your own. You will have hands on inspections of slide(pump), lever, bolt and semi-auto rifle. We will review each in turn so you gain knowledge of their operation.
In the afternoon the student will have the opportunity load, unload and shoot rifles provided by WCFTLLC and utilize their own rifle.

NRA Personal Protection in the Home
This course will dive into ways for the home defender to evaluate cover versus concealment with the home. How to minimize presenting yourself to a threat. We touch upon the basic legal rules when engaging in lethal force*
The afternoon portion of the class will be a live fire introduction to shooting around barriers using barriers as cover and drawing from the holster to engage a threat.

Meet your instructor
Meet Dan Rumrill, Manager and Instructor at Wine Country Firearms Training LLC. He is NRA certified in Basic Pistol and Basic Rifle instructions as well as the NRA’s Personal Protection in the Home course.
Dan actively trains and shoots competitively for 9 years. He is both an NRA Range safety Officer as well as an IDPA Safety Officer.
Stand Sure is his motto reflecting his focus on being the best you can be.
